“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
This is the most common regret of the dying.
They spent the majority of their lives marching to the beat of someone elses’ drum, climbing up someone elses’ ladder and living a life they were expected to live.
And I hate to be morbid, but the reality is this: most people will never live the life of their dreams. They want to travel the world but they don’t know where to start. They want to live a location independent lifestyle, but they’re too afraid to fail. They want to move abroad but don’t know how to support themselves overseas.

You’ve traveled and have a passport, but you’re more likely to explore destinations close to home because that’s what you’re comfortable with. You want to travel more and with friends, but your current ones don’t travel much. You like knowing that a country is completely safe before you travel there. You’re interested in finding a group of traveling friends and safe travel destinations.

You’ve made travel a priority in your life and after visiting a handful of Western World countries, you have the desire to challenge yourself more and journey deeper into other off-the-beaten path destinations. You’ve even started thinking about negotiating the idea of getting more time off or better yet, working remotely. Your goal is to satisfy this travel bug, learn how to travel more, and live comfortably as a global citizen.

You love travel, but your friends are bailing on you. You’re looking more into solo travel but you’re not that comfortable with it. You’d love to meet new people in the countries that you travel to, take epic travel pictures and learn how to connect deeper with a destination.

You’ve traveled extensively and may have even lived abroad. You’re all about maximizing your vacation time so that you can travel more. You’re extremely interested in exploring career opportunities that will allow you the freedom to travel, including entrepreneurship.

While you don’t have a ton of the time to put itineraries together, you know the game well enough to plan on your own. You have an international crew of friends and love learning about the coolest hidden destinations. You want to share your expertise with the world.
Right about now, I know that you:
When you were younger, did you dream of waking up every morning to a loud alarm, hitting the snooze button, rolling out of bed, snarfing down your breakfast and rushing out the door?
And not just once or twice.
Every day. Every week. Every year?
You feel tired, underappreciated and your life feels like an old broken record — not because you want it to be, but because you’ve been told that “it is what it is.”

But what if life were different?

Imagine a Monday morning. You wake up in a beachside bungalow off the southern coast of Bali as the sun streams through your shades at 9:30am — no alarm clock — and roll over to check your phone. First up, Instagram and Facebook. A few pics, a few status updates.
You get up, brew a cup of green tea, and check your email.
What do you see?
You see an email from your team, thanking you for your responsiveness and attentiveness while you’ve been away. A few days ago, while they were sleeping, you were catching an epic sunset at a hidden cafe with your new local friends, putting the final touches on the last client brief before emailing your team.
While you’re sipping your tea, you read your favorite blogs. You realize that you have the morning to do whatever your heart desires — you’re 12 hours in the future.
Around 10, you decide to settle into your “office,” a cozy cabana with an ocean view, and you begin working on a new presentation. You’re so deep in it that you lose all track of time. Just after noon, a local friend you met a few days ago texts you to see if you want to grab a bite to eat. Your day is clear, so you say “Sure” — and because you’ve been able to negotiate flex time with your boss, you make it a 2-hour lunch.
After lunch, you decide to run a few errands: a $10, hour long massage, a pit stop at your favorite art museum for quick-fix inspiration and a short coffee date with a few of the Balinese friends you met on your last trip. By the time the evening rolls around, you’re back at your bungalow, settling in for your work day. Just a few more things to check of your list before you touch base with your team for the first time today.
You’ve managed to completely revamp your idea of vacation and your definition of work. And as a result, you’ve been able to travel wherever, whenever & however you like.

This isn’t a pipe dream. This isn’t something that other people do.
You can travel the world on your own terms — and like a local — even if you don’t know where to start.
Are you wondering if you have what it takes to journey deeper and uncover your purpose through travel?
There’s a secret to all of this, so let’s dig a little deeper.

A few years ago, I became a nanny. I worked for a successful CEO couple and watched over their two children. I was constantly driving them to their different lessons around San Francisco, picking them up from school, preparing lunch and dinner, tidying up the house — you name it, I did it. At the same time, I was also interning at a startup incubator, selling luxury sunglasses on the side & helping a friend run her successful business.
I had a $3 a day budget for 6 months.
I knew that I wanted to travel, but most days to be honest, I was just trying to stay afloat. Travel was the farthest feasible thing from my mind. I knew that one day I’d have the means to really be able to live a life that I was proud of. And until that moment, I would be patient.
For six months, I worked 4 jobs. And at the end of that time, I landed an incredible job.
..or so I thought.
Six months later and I was stuck in the corporate limbo. The internet became my mental escape. Everyday, as my boss droned on and on about our clients, I would tune out and daydream about travel. My saving grace, at this job at least, was the fact that I only had to come into the office 3 times a week. The other two days, I could work from anywhere.
I would satiate my desire for travel by planning my two out-of-office days on Thursday and Friday so that I could have an extended weekend somewhere fun. And that’s how it all started.
The aching desire to travel was so palpable. I had friends who would wait until the very last moment to get out of bed because they were so uninspired with their life. They wanted more. Their work was mundane — they’d do the same things day in and day out, week in and week out.
Traveling became a lifeline. It’s like they used travel as a way to escape from their current reality. It was a coping mechanism. And when they planned their vacations, it gave them the ultimate freedom to decide an outcome.

But it all started with a changed mindset. The secret was in the risk.
So how do we do it?
How do we explore the world on our own terms,
make money while doing it & live a life of passion and purpose?
I want to start by letting you know that it’s possible. You can travel the world without spending all of your money. You can have epic travel pictures. You can sustain yourself overseas. You can bring your family along. You can live like royalty. You can absolutely 1000% live the life of your dreams without sacrificing your financial security.
For years, word on the street about traveling the world was that you had to:
IBe someone who’s rich, special, and most importantly, rich.
IIHave a lot of vacation days
IIITravel with someone (or a group of people) to travel safe
IVHad to choose between travel and family
VHave a rolodex of people you could connect to while abroad
VIGive up your dream of traveling with kids
Live on your own terms — the authentic way
When I think about my journey from an absolute I-have-no-idea-how-to-do-this beginner traveler to the expert traveler that I am now, I recognize several key milestones each traveler has to master before moving to the next stage of travel expertise.
You know, it’s nice to think about a life where you’re able to travel when you want, where you want and how you want — but to be honest, in the beginning, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
I moved to a country before even trying their cuisine, I didn’t speak the language (although, I later learned), and I had only been out of the country one time, with my family, before selling everything I owned and moving abroad. At the time, there was never a true blueprint to a successful, purpose filled life through travel — I just had to learn the hard way.
I learned on the fly, experimented with what worked & what didn’t and spent years mastering concepts that can take people decades to perfect — and it certainly wasn’t without a myriad of mishaps along the way.
My journey has been arduous. I’ve fallen, cried, yelled at innocent people and have at times, given up. And it hasn’t been easy — but I’ve done the work. Our job is to make your journey to complete travel bossery a lot easier and a lot less risky.
Most experts won’t take the time to walk you step-by-step through their journey and boil down their key learnings so that you avoid the same pitfalls and mistakes that they did.
Until now.
