Maya Whitfield These are all great suggestions, and I’m def adding them to my list! My favorite solo travel destination thus far has been Bali — the people are so kind, food is cheap, it’s beautiful and there’s plenty to do! Where else would you all recommend?
Maya Yette Hey Chloe! I absolutely love Bali and it’s the perfect place for solo travelers! If you like yoga, definitely check out Yoga Barn in Ubud. Some of my other favorite things to do were the Campuhan Ridge Walk in Ubud, visiting the Tegalalang rice terraces, seeing Uluwatu Temple at sunset and surf lessons in Canngu. If you like cooking, there are plenty of great cooking classes and some amazing shopping if you just walk up and down the main streets in Ubud. The list goes on an on, but once you’re there and have talked to some people, you’ll get a sense of what else there is to do and what else you want to do! Enjoy :-)

Leandra Williams I love Bali and Thailand! While we’re on the subject of Southeast Asian countries, Luang Prabang in Laos is also a great location for solo travel. It’s a tiny town, you can walk and/or bike everywhere, and super chill and peaceful. Check it out!

Kyla Mcmillan If you liked Bali, Maya, you should also check out Thailand (if you haven’t yet). There are so many different cities and islands to visit — Chiang Mai is a great city with amazing food and then the beaches are out of this world beautiful! Little bit of everything for a solo traveler :-)

Nicole Young Seeing all these comments are giving me the push I need to FINALLY book a solo travel trip. I may start with SEA since I am familiar with the area, but is that too easy? Or should I just take the plunge and explore a city/region I’ve never been? SO much to think about!
I love traveling solo and cannot wait to visit some of these cities! I always like to sit in restaurants and walk around without looking too much at my phone because then I’m more likely to meet other interesting people. You guys should try it too!
