Traveling doesn’t mean you get to be a world away from life at home. You may have responsibilities and obligations that require you to turn off vacation brain and check-in to the real world from time to time. However, it is completely possible for you to work on vacation and still have a great time!
Timezone arbitrage is the ability to make time work for you. Even though you’re in a new environment, there are still 24 hours in a day for you to take advantage of. For example, if you’re six hours ahead of your regular time zone, you’ll be able to knock out tasks before the start of the work day and still have time to relax on the beach worry-free. Sounds like a sweet trade off!
In this Office Hour, we’ll show you how to work effectively and productively regardless of what timezone you’re in.

I haven’t tried it yet, but a bunch of my friends use the Boomerang plugin for Gmail while traveling (or even when working late if they’re at home). They can schedule the time emails get sent so they arrive to the recipient during his or her normal business hours.
