I first visited Lisbon & Sintra 3 years ago and had not a clue at the time I’d fall for Portugal as hard as I did. What a beautiful country. It should absolutely be on everyone’s travel list.
Also, if you can, plan a mid June visit! Lisbon’s biggest annual celebration — St. Anthony’s Feast — is a 2-night festival throughout the heart of the city during this month. An incredibly fun time and dive into authentic Portuguese culture. The life, music, food, the people and the pride for their country! (Still kinda get chills thinking about it lol).
Celebratory holidays abroad are always a treat and this was definitely a priceless experience.
